Your New Role…

CNNE web editors are responsible for producing the network's scheduled programs as well as breaking news during the shift. To be a candidate for this position, you must have strong writing and production skills across all media platforms. Assignments will be completed under news production deadlines, requiring flexibility with schedule/working hours.

Your Role Accountabilities…

· Editor of the homepage of CNNE.com

· Newsgathering and planning daily coverage

· News production and feature content editing

· Work with the CNNE SEO analyst, NDJ, video and social medio team to ensure all elements of news production are aligned.

· Work with writers to assign pieces that reach CNNE Digital audiences for Latam and US Hispanics.

· Closely work with Copyeditors and CNN team of S&P to ensure the content represents CNN journalistic integrity and style.

· Utilize data to inform insight-driven decision-making with the goal of improving the quality, reach and engagement of our web content

Qualifications & Experience…

· Experience in news editing for digital platforms.

· Established working experience in a professional news or sports environment.

· Strong understanding of international and domestic news affairs

· Proven editorial judgment and knowledge of editorial functions.

· Collaborative with partners and peers on production projects and responsibilities such as attending show meetings, contributing to story generation, script enhancements.

· Understanding of social media tools and how to reach to those audiences.

· Must have thorough understanding of production workflow.

· Must be agile and adaptable in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.

· Bachelor’s degree in journalism, political science, history or relevant professional work experience.

· Evening & weekend work may be required

· Fluent in English
