Siemens Digital Industries Software (DISW) is looking for passionate individuals who have good interest in Software Development and Implementation to join our Field Services team in Mexico to act as part of a Country Professional Services team, work productively with other Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces (SME’s) to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.

Graduate will support & develop process improvement initiatives aiming at achieving lean and efficient organizational processes which will lead a competitive advantage at Siemens Digital Industry Software. This program will last 18 months, where you will be trained during the first 3 months and working with expert engineers together for the remainder of the 15 months internship, getting a great mix between theory and practice, which will provide the exposure to grow and master key analytical, sales, & project management skills. Opportunity to support activities solving real manufacturing industry issues. Upon completing the internship and a thorough evaluation process, there may be an opportunity to be considered for a permanent position as a technical position at Siemens Digital Industries Software in Mexico.

As a Services Trainee within the Field Services team for PLM solutions, you will have the opportunities to learn and work with the DISW PLM Community of Practice and contribute as a key member in delivering the designed solution for the customers. Other than development tasks, you will also get to expose yourself to learn and understand the system solutions designed for customers around the world and industries best practices through the involvement in different implementation projects.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the delivery of individual project consulting and technical expertise in Siemens’s core product portfolio, for DISW projects throughout the project lifecycle (including implementation/installation, configuration, testing, deployment, production support, postproduction support, train/mentor) for the Siemens DI Software solution to be delivered successfully and provide value to the customer. Under guidance and in line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption.

Works on projects/assignments of basic to moderate scope. Works under supervision on routine or new assignment/projects. Actively participates in Country Communities of Practice, leveraging technical and industry best practices and templates to deliver project tasks, providing experiences to support continual improvement.

  • Complete enablement plan defined by manager.

  • Work as a key member within the Project Team for implementation and support services projects.

  • Work with the Solution or Product Architect to support project tasks.

  • Leverage industry best practices and templates for the Siemens Software solution delivered to provide customer value.

  • Implement architected customer solutions of one or many product domains to address the customers’ business requirements.

  • Deliver on project activities to maintain scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Communicate project processes, progress by interacting with the project team/project management to support customer expectations and support customer adoption.

  • Contribute to the documentation of standards, processes, and policies related to deployment of technical solutions.

  • Provide technical training to customer’s end users about Siemens solutions.

Requirements

As a Siemens Services Trainee, you are a technical resource implementing solutions while building strong relationships with project teams and customers helping them realize their industry vision. This position requires excellent skills in interpersonal communications, process improvement, as well as configuration of software.

  • BS degree (Fresh Graduate) in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.

  • Able to work independently, self-motivated, and good team player.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

  • Advance English skills.

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • Willingness to travel if required.

Additional and desirable skills and knowledge

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Root Cause Analysis and Critical Thinking.

  • Strong verbal/written communication skill and teamwork.

  • Basic knowledge or some exposure of/to Siemens solutions:

  • Insights Hub (IoT)

  • Opcenter portfolio (Manufacturing Operations)

  • Mendix (RAD certification desirable)

  • Tecnomatix: Plant & Process Simulate

  • Teamcenter (PLM)

  • NX CAD/CAM

  • Following Skills would be an advantage:

  • C#, ASP.NET Framework, Visual Studio.

  • HTML 5, CSS, PHP, Bootstrap.

  • HTTP/HTTPS, OPC UA, Asset Connectivity

  • JSON, JQuery, XML.

  • Angular JS, Node JS.

  • JavaScript, Java, J2EE, React.

  • SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle (DBA).

  • Windows Server, Unix/Linux, Virtualization.

  • Business Intelligence tools, Dashboards and Data visualization.

  • Machine Learning, GenAI.

  • Cybersecurity principles.

This position will be preferable based in Mexico City, Mexico.
