The First Mile Sales and Operations Planning (FM S&OP) team is essential to make this happen, ensuring the best Seller / Vendor experience while also guiding the operations to process as efficiently as possible
The FM S&OP team is in charge of everything concerning our Fulfillment Centers’ Inbound, Placement, and Outbound planning and has a close collaboration with input providers (Retail/FBA stakeholders), internal customers (Fulfillment Centers, Middle Mile Planning, Last Mile Planning, among other teams involved in Amazon’s Supply Chain), and key stakeholders from different markets in the world.
The New Vendor Freight Manager is responsible for the day-to-day forecasting, ensuring the IB planning and execution processes are optimized and aligned across FCs. The NVF Manager is in charge of solving issues affecting the network and/or internal stakeholders, solve escalations, and ensuring that data and reports are used for on time decision making. This position is the communication arc between the Business and the Operations for any IB-related topic and is accountable for the inbound of all Amazon sites, as well as the First-Time placement.
This role requires a candidate with skills in identifying patterns and disruptions in it, along with ability to examine details and foresee the implications of the data. The candidate needs to be analytical, knowing how to dive deep on root causes and proposing solutions on the identified issues. This team is expected to audit and provide process improvements with our stakeholders (mentioned above) in order to increase the overall Vendor/Seller/Customer Experience of the Amazon Fulfillment Network; hence the candidate needs to have the proper communication, continuous improvement, and project management skills.
Key job responsibilities
• Create the weekly and daily New Vendor Freight (Inbound) forecast based on a topline volume shared by Retail and Fulfill By Amazon Business teams.
• Split and forecast NVF volume for each of Amazon’s IB programs (WePay, Direct Imports, PCP)
• Monitor IB execution and engage with follow up actions with stakeholders
• Configure de Amazon Mexico IB Network to optimize first time placement
• Report daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly IB results to middle- and high-level management.
• Solve disruptions and follow up on compliance of IB rules on a daily basis.
• Ensure through continuous improvement tools that the IB planning and execution is optimized
• Benchmark operations from the rest-of-world Amazon’s marketplaces in order to reach best-in-class performance
• Create adhoc analysis in order to dive deep on trends. Accumulate data from various sources and identify the relevant information out of it, presenting it in a way that would help take action.
• Foresee implications based on current data and trends and take necessary actions.
• Excellent Communication skills - deal with stakeholders/customers with top notch organizational and follow-up skills
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of driving process improvements experience
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Advanced proficiency in both English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
