Position Title: Associate Manager, Retail.com

Location: Mexico City

Reports to: eCommerce Sr. Manager

Job Summary

The Retail.com Associate Manager will be responsible for leading the relationship with this key account. This role will align the commercial and digital strategy across all segments, developing the positioning of different brands within Walmart in a digital ans Omnichannel approach. The ideal candidate should have eCommerce merchandising or retail media exposure with a blend of analytical and creative skills. This role requires partnerships with several cross-functional teams including, Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales, Supply, Finance and Planning teams to come up with new strategies for growth, profit and improve the eCommerce business. The ability to work as a team and earn trust from the WM offline team is key for the success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic relationship with Walmart.com, aiming to maximize profitable growth for both parties.

  • Create Walmart.com strategy, JBP.

  • Identify growth opportunities, ensuring category development across various segments, with a precise understanding of shopper insights.

  • Work with the internal cross functional teams to build the correct price and promotion plan and guarantee correct execution.

  • Develops curated Extended catalogue strategy and executes it

  • Create an annual product forecast and manage weekly updates to achieve goals.

  • Manage JBP processes with Walmart, with demonstrated negotiation abilities to align on growth and profitability KPI’s, forecast accuracy and innovation initiatives planning and execution.

  • Lead negotiations aligned with WM team for an Omnichannel Connect (Digital ads) strategy and guarantee correct execution.

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales, improve sell out performance, and enhance customer satisfaction on Walmart.com.

  • Monitor performance metrics, such as , sell in, sell out, Glance Views, conversion rates, Confirmation rates, and customer feedback, building dashboards to take necessary actions to achieve performance targets.

  • Conduct regular data analysis and generate actionable insights to improve marketplace performance and identify opportunities for growth.

  • Lead cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to coordinate product launches, promotions, and inventory management.

  • Provide input to leadership regarding engagement and shopper data to contribute insights for refining merchandising strategies, with a focus on category development.

  • Build connections with Marketing, and Customer Marketing to support the strategic growth of the account. Creating Walmart assets for digital campaigns.

  • Guarantee execution of A&P strategy and with follow up to maximize campaigns results.

  • Monthly follow up of chargebacks of A&P executed to guarantee proper management.

  • Implement effective customer service practices to resolve inquiries, complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and tools related to online marketplaces and make recommendations improve the optimizations.

  • Expertise in SEO and SEM principles and techniques for optimizing product listings.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Marketing or Business oriented, Digital business.

  • 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, sales and/or Digital Marketing working with Amazon or Ecommerce Business in retail.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and power BI) Proficient in SAP and digital media platforms (Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Ads, Meli Ads, Google Ads, Meta, etc)

  • Experience in eCommerce and Digital Marketing

  • Experience in Ecommerce or Ecommerce KAM (3+ years)

  • Understanding of eCommerce channels, metrics and costumer journey.

  • Strong analytical focus and KPIs management.

  • Detail-oriented and operationally-focused, a data-driven and proactive approach.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall Company and development strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop direct reports, assisting to achieve their goals.

  • Ability to operate independently given direction and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised.

  • Strong project planning, tracking & organizing skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple activities and assignments simultaneously.

  • A high sense of urgency and commitment to deadlines.

  • Consumer-centric approach to daily activities.

  • English written and spoken at an advanced level.
