Change and Release Management is primarily working with the flow of changes through pre-production environments that ends with successful deployment in the least disruptive manner within Zebra Managed Services NA, EMEA and APAC customers.
Responsibilities:
Apply a structured methodology for service change management activities
Assess the change impact
Complete change management assessments
Implement a change management
Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
Consult various stakeholders about the change
Ensure all changes are clearly communicated
Track progress of changes that are being implemented
Report to management the progress of all change requests
Manage stakeholders
Track and report issues
Implement and maintain a change roadmap
Lead the overall management of the release process, includes planning for the release, ensuring user acceptance tests completion, verifying training provided to the user community where needed, validating the blackout plan, staging the pilot test, implementing the full deployment of the release and closing the release in a timely manner.
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations
Signs off the release package for implementation
Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the release
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule, and quality
Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams
Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks
Uses established tools and templates to document the plan and communicate it to the team and customer. Gathers feedback to revise and complete the Project Plan as needed
Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Provides management reports on release progress
Identify process opportunities across the release workflows and implement solutions that improve effectiveness and efficiency via through continuous process improve.
Participate in after-hours or Sunday deployments to the production environment for selected customers
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
2-4 years of experience
Key Skills and Competencies:
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
Organized with a natural inclination for planning and tracking.
Ability to understand and assess various information from different source (technical, resource, business etc.)
Able to work collaboratively with and through others.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
Good communication skills in English –
Advanced user of MS Excel
ITIL foundation certified or similar is an advantage
