Eaton’s EPG LAC PQD Power Quality Division division is currently seeking a Asistente de Compras.

What you’ll do:

Job responsibilities

  • Looks for the best supply and shopping alternatives, getting the best prices, best quality, best delivery time, service level, etc.

  • Issue or generate purchase orders of direct materials according to the needs marked by MRP, and the manual requirements of the gliders indicated by requirement number and / or by Email, as well as generate orders of Purchase of Expense Materials (MRO) according to the needs marked by the different users and follow up to obtain them with the best time, cost and quality of them.

  • Generic and systematic review of MRP requirements and manual requirements, to reduce the rate of unsuitable purchases and issue the generated purchases, according to the priorities set by planning

  • Keep the purchasing file up-to-date in ERP, with respect to vendors, open purchases, delivery dates, updated prices, as well as issue updated reports of material arrival dates in the ERP database and in the material short reports issued by the planning area, according to production plans and programs.

  • Keep a reliable record of open purchase orders as well as their delivery dates and check that partial deliveries in sum, complete the entirety of each batch of purchases placed, as well as debug purchase orders, with actions of modification, cancellation and purging of them.

  • Develop and maintain a supplier pattern and promote their Reliability certifications.

  • Maintain control over billing and payment and maintain MarkView (inbox) box. As well as advising when providers have doubts about the status of their payments.

  • Communicate to the different areas of Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, when there is some difference in obtaining a supply and communicating the alternatives that suppliers offer us.

  • Comply with and ensure the processing of vendor acquisitions, billing and payment to suppliers.

  • Purchase, confirmation and shipment of MRO orders and materials, as well as maintenance of stock of tools and safetyequipment.

  • Maintain constant communication with the different areas to review progress and delivery times and/or to review differences that may affect the delivery of goods and take the necessary actions.

  • Generation of supplier evaluation and certification plans and programs as well as promoting the creation, acquisition and development of Suppliers.

  • Develop win-win relationships with our suppliers, as well as promoting vertical customer-supplier integrations.

  • Manage IFAR process for México Region

  • Authorize RMA (Returned Material Authorization) requests. Investigate claims by conducting factual based research and working cross functionally with interfacing departments.

  • Manage spare parts and warranty claims requests from internal and external customers.

  • Comply with the different activities assigned by your supervisor or any special requirement of the company.

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement programs and committees.

  • Support compliance with the Eaton Business System (EBS)

  • Firmly follow Eaton's leadership model as well as adopt leadership attributes (Ethics, Passion, Learning, Responsibility, Efficiency and transparency). "

Qualifications:

Education level required

· Bachelor’s Degree of an accredited institution,required.

Years and area of experience required

· Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position.

Technical knowledge

· Knowledge of desirable English

· Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

· Basic knowledge MAPICS, AS400, ERP, SAP.

· Must have basic level verbal and written English skills required (50%).

· Receipt and Delivery of Imported Materials.

· Inventory Transaction Posting.

· Taking inventories and cyclecounts.

· Hazardous wastemanagement.

Soft skills

· Control and document handling.

· Demonstrate skills in the following competencies:

· decisionmaking/troubleshooting,resultspush, work knowledge,commitment, communication and teamwork.
