Job Description

The Senior Training Manager (TM), Oncology Nurse Educator (ONE) will have sole responsibility for the training strategy and delivery for the Franchise E ONE Team. This role will report directly to the Director, Franchise E Field Training. This role will be responsible for managing an allocated training budget.

This role is part of an integrated commercial team that focuses on the interactions with allied healthcare clinicians in key targeted accounts to provide on-label clinical in-services and education aligned to the product package insert. The ONE TM identifies educational needs and disease state awareness on topics including initiating and managing patients on a therapy, understanding of symptom management and appropriate patient identification through educational interactions within a defined geographical region. This training is required to align to AbbVie’s promotional and educational guidelines. This allows us to ensure that AbbVie supports providers and the patients appropriately.

This is a virtual office role with a requirement to commute up to 25% based on business needs. There will also be a commitment to travel for select events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Oncology Field Training Leaders and key business partners to develop an integrated franchise training plan, inclusive of clinical and non-clinical content, which aligns to educational interactions with HCP’s.

  • Lead the content development and delivery of training tactics for ONE new and existing hires. This role will develop a robust continuing education platform and pull-through plan for these roles that aligns to AbbVie’s 70/20/10 Learning Approach.

  • Responsible to maintain and create content for Current and new indications and therapies with the Oncology franchise as the business dictates.

  • Implement a measurement system/Rubric that will provide data on ONE Behavior Change, based on applied learning and training.

  • Proactively seek to develop self and others on professional, marketplace and product knowledge

  • Be fiscally responsible by proactively managing the budget and conducting bids when necessary.

  • Leverages Performance Operations core platforms and content within the specific Franchise/Brand training products limiting “reinventing the wheel” as appropriate.

  • Understands and applies US-International Curriculum Standardization when building content and launch training.

  • Demonstrates direct and open communication within Performance Operations and with all Business Partners resulting in positive relationships and mutual understanding and agreement.

  • Learning agility to adapt to new products, markets, and develop innovative approaches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5+ years documented and successful Pharma or healthcare experience.

  • Proven record and experience in training and mentoring required.

  • Ability to demonstrate an elevated level of knowledge of the Oncology Business.

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products (e.g. CFR 210/211, cGMP)

  • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of individuals at all levels of management--both in the field and in marketing--to gain consensus on training program development and delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate business trends, brand strategies, and marketplace drivers into plans that drive competitive advantage to the organization.

  • Exceptional stakeholder communication skills to develop partnerships and align training with the business strategy.

  • Successful demonstration of simplifying complex information and elevating overall knowledge and understanding for learners

Preferred

  • (Strongly preferred) Corporate office Pharma or Bio-Tech training experience

  • Nursing or like experience

  • People leadership experience
