New Orleans, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking experienced laborers, sheet metal workers, foremen, and superintendents for an industrial roofing company.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Knowledge of the basic safety techniques and procedures
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines according to instructions received
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute work assignments
• Ability to climb ladders, stairways, and scaffolding
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work on a team
• Ability to read and use tape measure, mark, or record distances
• General basic knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures
• Ability to perform general physical activities in construction areas
• Ability to identify problems and communicate them to the foreman in order to accomplish work
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner according to instructions received

Ideal candidate must-haves:

• Must possess a valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
• Can pass a background check.
• Can pass drug test (urine and alcohol).
• Currently HAS a valid TWIC card - cannot wait to apply
• Industrial construction experience
• Safety procedures must be followed.

Preferred but not required:

• Experience in roofing or sheet metal.
• OSHA basic plus training.
• Any lift certifications (to be able to drive manlift or forklift).
• Safety training.
• Own tools - typically this tells you if they are experienced.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School/G.E.D preferred but not required
• Years of Experience: 6 months - 1 year of general construction experience
• Certifications: None required
• Driver License: Not required but it is a plus
• Must be self-motivated, open-minded, and able to accept constructive criticism
