The beachfront resort features 316 rooms and suites, 80 residential suites and 12 villas, seven restaurants, cafés and lounges, a Talise Spa, 200-metre private beach, two swimming pools and a children’s play area. Extensive conference and banqueting facilities are available, including the Badriah ballroom.

About the job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Door Attendant role to join the Bell Desk team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel & Spa, Kuwait.

Your main duties will include:

  • To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name badge. To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the hotel and department grooming standards.

  • To provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times..

  • To comply with local legislation as required.

  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel.

  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.

  • To attend training and meetings as and when required.

  • To strive to please the guest and sell the in-house services.

  • To ensure that the hotel's driveway and main entrance and car-park are clean and

  • Free of traffic at all times.

  • To be aware of all activities both in the hotel (Food and Beverage functions, restaurants, meeting rooms) and in the city.

  • To call for a taxi for the guest upon request.

  • To offer various information to guest regarding the hotel services, facilities as well as general information.

  • To respond to any other changes in the departmental function as dictated by the industry, company and or the hotel.

  • To unload luggage from the cars for arriving guests, following health and safety manual handling guidelines.

Qualifications:

About you:

  • Should have Customer service experience in a five-star environment in Front Office.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Work in a multicultural environment.

  • Complaint handling/ experience in a 5* hotel.

  • Proficiency in spoken and written Business English able to effectively communicate with all levels of colleague and Management.
