Job Title: Structures Mechanic - MESA, AZ

Job Description

Inspect, fabricate, repair, modify and install aircraft structural components, assemblies, and subassemblies. This role involves working with sheet metal and structural components, correcting discrepancies using engineering drawings, and documenting all maintenance actions using required forms.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, modify, and repair sheet metal and structural components.

  • Install aircraft structural components.

  • Correct discrepancies using information from engineering drawings or other required documents.

  • Use manufacturing planning, written instructions, blueprints, and other applicable technical data to assemble, install, or replace aircraft components.

  • Document all aircraft maintenance actions using the required maintenance forms.

  • Sign off completed work using manufacturing shop stamp or test stamp, including manufacturing planning, test procedures, inspection discrepancy records, product assurance records, and applicable program documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of high school education.

  • At least 5 years of aircraft structures experience (rotor or fixed wing).

  • Ability to lay out and drill conforming holes, rivet sheet metal, and fabricate, modify, and repair aircraft components.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical publications.

  • Capability to use and maintain various pieces of ground support and test equipment.

  • Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and concentrate on tasks.

  • Ability to work well with others or as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Access to Export Control Information.

  • Regular attendance at the worksite.

  • Compliance with FAA Drug Test and BG Check requirements.

Work Environment

Work in a hangar environment with a 5/8 shift schedule, Monday to Friday, 6am – 2:30pm. The role involves using various tools and equipment to maintain aircraft structures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
