Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Material Handler to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move products and materials safely and efficiently within our modern, state-of-the-art facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move products and materials in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas, ensuring proper stacking and storage of materials.

  • Transport materials to and from designated areas, following safety protocols and warehouse procedures.

  • Inspect forklifts daily to ensure they are in good working condition and report any issues to the maintenance team.

  • Assist with inventory management by moving stock, taking counts, and ensuring accurate records.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular housekeeping tasks in storage areas.

  • Assist with the preparation of materials for production and shipping as needed.

  • Report any damaged materials or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, equipment usage, and material handling.

Essential Skills

  • Experience operating forklifts in a busy environment with a minimum of 5 years experience.

  • Experience in material handling, including moving pallets, equipment, and working on a manufacturing floor or busy warehouse.

  • Excellent safety record with forklift operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified forklift trainer is a bonus.

  • Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing floor with high foot traffic.

Work Environment

The work environment requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and involves standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed. Employees may need to climb portable ladders and will be required to use Personal Protection Equipment. The role requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00
