Responsibilities

The Patient Access Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the following areas: Outpatient Registration Emergency Department Inpatient Registration and Financial Counselors. This position may have access to third party credit card information and transactional systems (cash registers point of sale devices applications supporting credit card transactions and reports or other documents containing credit card information) from multiple transactions or reports and/or files containing bulk transactional information containing encrypted or un-redacted credit card information. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CommonSpirit Health. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Arizona General Hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement/process improvement activities.

  • Together with Admitting/Registration department leadership, monitors department operational plan for the effective delivery of admitting and registration services to customers.

  • Assists the Admitting/Registration department leadership to monitor department budget related to labor and supplies

  • Assists the Admitting/Registration leadership in operationalizing policies for interviewing, orienting, evaluating, coaching/counseling, discipline and terminations.

  • Manages work flow solving problems in coordination with the Admitting/Registration department leadership and the department supervisors.

  • Together with the Admitting/Registration leadership, promotes completion of monitoring tools to measure progress on a continuous basis.

  • Ensures that all department activity is processed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • (2) years of experience in Admitting/Registration as a Supervisor/Manager

  • Must be able to work a varied shift and be on call 24 hrs a day, 7 days per week

  • Must have a working knowledge of State and Federal regulations.

Preferred:

  • Minimum (5) years of experience in Admitting/Registration as a Supervisor/Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree or enrolled in a Bachelor's program

  • CRCR Certification

  • Working knowledge of insurance contracts

Pay Range

$30.55 - $44.30 /hour
