Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. On this team, you ll have the opportunity to create and develop advanced technology capabilities in the areas of advanced electronics, autonomy, cyber, electronic warfare, and sensors and processing.

About the Role:

FASTLABs Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer to join an existing program team and support I&T activities for a novel multi-function RF System. As a member of this team you will collaborate with scientists, fellow engineers and industry partners to realize innovative solutions to complex and challenging national security problems.

The ideal candidate will have experience:

  • Applying critical thinking, and analytical skills to multiple domains effectively and working across disciplines to solve problems in innovative ways

  • Enjoy working on a mix of RF Systems and containerized software applications

  • Working within a multi-disciplinary teams to integrate, debug performance issues, identify and recommend solutions

  • Developing test plans, and associated test infrastructure, to ensure test strategies meet customer expectations

  • Clearly communicate ideas, concerns and solution to the team, industry partner, customers and FASTLABS management

  • Ensuring appropriate level of rigor is applied to achieve systems the meet customer needs

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related fields

  • 6 years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on RF validation and verification testing.

  • Experience with RF test methods, RF systems, and RF Test equipment

  • Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data parsing and data visualization

  • Ability to travel to and work at remote sites in support of test events, meetings and training activities as required

  • Hold an Active TS

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Have active or eligible U.S. TS/SCI security clearance

  • Experience with handling and processing of large signal data sets

  • Experience with Digital Communications and Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

  • Proficient with test equipment including RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multi-meters

  • Test Automation experience is a plus

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
