NiSource Cross Bore Program Specialist - NIPSCO in Merrillville, Indiana

Job Summary
To manage cross bore initiatives and projects within the assigned state(s). Collaborates with stakeholders as needed to ensure shared direction on enterprise-wide projects, processes and program development. Develops and institutes solutions that support the Cross Bore Program. Manages contractor performance and cost for services. Acts as the liaison to outside agencies to educate for the Cross Bore Program.
Essential Functions
Builds and maintains effective, cross-functional working relationships across NiSource. Collaborates with Operations, Construction, and Engineering to effectively remediate Cross Bores in a timely manner.
Manages multiple projects at various stages of development concurrently; plans, prioritizes, and tracks all projects and metrics to completion while ensuring that the program stays within scope and budget.
Maintains and analyzes budgeting process for the program and oversees contractor invoicing and costs.
Drives functional consistency, process standardization, and operational excellence while partnering with Supply Chain to secure quality and cost effective contractors to complete investigations and remediation of cross bores.
Supports relationships with state regulators to ensure compliance with all mandated government regulations and Company Gas Standards (e.g. ad hoc meetings, inquires, and awareness for the Cross Bore program).
Responsible for providing the necessary data and information for the presentation of effective ad hoc Cross Bore training and/or education to our internal/external partners.
Schedules and leads meetings and discussions with local Municipalities/Sewer Authorities concerning Cross Bores.
Collaborates with public awareness for messaging concerning Cross Bore safety and determine best method for delivery.
Provides guidance with root cause investigations and after action reviews concerning Cross Bores.
Responsible for QA/QC regarding contractor video.
Champions the development and implementation of change initiatives to increase operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Ensures all Cross Bore Program documentation is maintained.
Develops cross bore business cases and project proposals.
Required Qualifications For Position
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
1-3 years Related Work experience
Project management and execution skills.
PC software proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Working knowledge of operations support systems (WMS, etc.).
DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI
Work Authorization
Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

Salary Range:
$67,900.00 - $101,900.00
