Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Director, Meridian General Manager in Meridian, Mississippi

Description: Responsibilities include duties as the General Manager of the site at Meridian, Mississippi to include daily operations across the site to ensure all processes and products are delivered with the highest quality and meet or exceed cost and schedule requirements. Additional duties include aligning site strategic direction with the AMMM and Aero Operations strategies, executing tactical decisions directly impacting the Meridian workforce for program and functional tasks in Meridian. This position operates to fully support company and program level commitments, both internal and external, for safety, quality, cost, schedule and delivery performance. Responsible for ensuring high performance of Meridian deliverables. Directly and indirectly manages multiple subordinate leaders and individual contributors covering all site level disciplines within Meridian and other duties to include serving as the primary representative of Lockheed Martin to the local community and state government entities in community relations roles. This position is accountable for establishing and maintaining supportive and effective relations with C-130 Build Team leaders in Marietta, Clarksburg, Johnstown, and Pinellas. Direct the implementation of capital investments, such as manufacturing automation, to decrease cost at Meridian site.

Provide daily direction to multi-disciplined organizational team consisting of Operations Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, Configuration Management, Engineering, HR, and Safety, including staffing and tools required for successful program execution. Develop organizational capability, succession plans, and growth paths for employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with Managing more than one functional area of manufacturing, such as machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging.

-Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Desired Skills:

• Experience leading or managing in satellite or feeder plant type location and with demonstrated performance of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Schedule.

• Demonstrated experience with aircraft assembly, preferably C130.

• Strong business acumen and demonstrated use of business data.

• Ability to deliver results with independent initiative.

• Ability to form creative partnerships to improve execution and competitive performance.

• Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate team in technical and leadership development.

• Strong presentation skills and ability to address complex matter / solutions with senior leadership.

• Ability to communicate with all levels to include internal and external customers.

• Track record of successful product delivery to customers/clients.

• Experience implementing advanced manufacturing automation.

• Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
