FTE: 0.001000 Shift: 4 Schedule: (3) 12 hour shifts required per 6-week schedule period. 1 minor and 1 major holiday per year. 12-hour shifts starting at 0700 or 1915. Self-scheduling signs-up for open shifts that are available weeks in advance. Optional Part-time staff help fill the needs of the department, so must be available to work day or night shifts. Our Difference * A streamlined, efficient and exceptional patient experience * Work at the top of your license * Full access to flexible leaders * Close neighborhood location with convenient parking * Build New Skills and competencies * Own the care of the patient throughout the care continuum Services Provided Around-the-Clock - Emergency Care * Seven emergency department (ED) beds * Froedtert & MCW board-certified ED physicians, registered nurses and paramedics * In-house lab and pharmacy services * In-house imaging, including low-dose CT scan, X-ray and ultrasound * Paramedics are required to have a at least 1 year of experience Requirements: * Paramedic with 1+ year experience required. * 3+ years Paramedic experience preferred. * Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required. * Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required * American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) is required * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or an AHA approved equivalents is required Special Skills: Fluent in English, both written and oral Commitment to the highest ideals of the nursing profession in caring for patients.
