WORKFORCE RESOURCE INC Resource Specialist in MENOMONIE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Customer Service Support 1. Greets customers and office visitors, assesses situation, gathers needed information and/or determines initial needs, refers to appropriate programs/individuals/partners, takes messages and/or makes appointments 2. Explains community services that are available to customers in person or via telephone (i.e. Job Center partner programs, workforce development programs, WRI programs and CAP agencies). 3. Handles and resolves individual\'s questions and complaints regarding programs and services or connects with appropriate program staff. 4. Tracks customer referrals in database. 5. Maintains customer sign-in sheet/kiosk 6. Utilizes adaptive technologies to assist disabled customers/visitors 7. Orient customers to available resources and provides customer assistance in self-service use of office/Job Center resources 8. Reports matters pertaining to the Job Center to the One Stop Operator. 9. Answerers telephone professionally, assesses situation, gatherers needed information and/or determines initial needs, responds to questions, refers to appropriate programs, makes appointments, routes calls to appropriate resources. 10. Provide customers with fax/copy services 11. Issue and process work permits according to state and local guidelines Program Service Support 1. Secure information, copy and assemble program packets. 2. Implement processing functions (e.g., issuing gas cards, timesheets, job search forms, etc.) and review materials processed to assure accuracy and completeness. 3. Scan program specific materials correctly and timely 4. Identify customers to be contacted for appointments, enrollment in programs, etc., from databases and lists and contact customers using all means possible (e.g., phone, internet, Pinger, etc.) 5. Tracks customer referrals in database. 6. Assist with employer verification 7. Schedule appointments/orientation 8. Assist customers with purchasing items relating to work (using credit card) 9. Set-up orientation computer for customers 10. Enter comments/documentation in databases 11. Explain community services that are available to customers in person, /via telephone (i.e. Job Center partner programs, workforce development programs, WRI programs and CAP agencies. Office Support 1. Maintains supply and inventory of office supplies, forms, testing materials, etc. 2. Assists in maintaining office in neat and orderly manner 3. Assures equipment is in proper working order and follows appropriate service protocols 4. Opens, sorts, and routes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail 5. Must be able to complete tasks quickly in a time-sensitive environment.
