The Emergency Department provides care for the whole family - infants, children, and adults - as a Level III Trauma Center. As an active participant in tissue procurement and facilitates organ donation, we are also closely involved with community disaster preparedness, working closely with first responders throughout Waukesha and Washington County. Highlights Menomonee Falls ED is a 23-bed trauma center Nurse to patient ratio is typically 4:1 Approximately 75-100 patients are seen per day Emergency Department Technicians also provide supportive care. REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 1 year of Paramedic experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Paramedic Certification in good standing in the state of Wisconsin is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 1 year of hire. For incumbents in this role prior to 3/1/2024 must obtain PALs by 3/1/2025.
