Job Summary This position leads its\' stakeholders to develop and implement World-Class environmental and safety processes and policies that assure regulatory compliance and injury prevention. It will strategically guide stakeholder groups in continuous improvement activities involving safety, ergonomics, and environmental topics, while being responsible for ongoing training programs and support. The EHS manager is responsible for evaluating and recommending safety risk assessment tools; environmental and safety auditing and establishing metrics to monitor performance. This role is responsible for long term strategic plans positioning operations in meeting and exceeding both safety and environmental regulations along with providing direction regarding applicable safety and environmental regulations during project planning. This position provides leadership and support to internal and external stakeholders including union and facility leadership, front line leaders, employee, Human Resources, Safety, Security and Health/Medical staff, Risk Management, loss prevention consultants, insurance brokers, OSHA, EPA and other state and federal agencies.
