Robert Half Senior Financial Business Analyst in Menlo Park, California

Description

We are offering an opportunity to join our team as a Financial Business Analyst in the healthcare sector. This role involves supporting our client's core financial accounting as part of a larger Workday Financial Management implementation. You will be instrumental in managing finance and accounting operations, particularly during the system implementations and post "go-live". Prior experience with a Workday Financial Management implementation is required. This role is 100% remote however you must adhere to a Pacific Time Zone schedule. Responsibilities:

• Utilize Workday knowledge and experience to support core financial accounting areas, such as financial accounting, reporting, assets, capital projects, leases, intercompany, endowments/funds, non-patient AR, and Accounts Payable.

• Develop desktop procedures and training manuals for high-frequency ERP users.

• Engage actively in complex discussions, often on technical matters, and deliver clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.

• Act as a liaison between business teams, application vendors, and IT for system integration, enhancements, and issue fixes.

• Translate complex business needs into actionable recommendations and make independent decisions of moderate to high complexity with little or no supervision.

• Lead ERP upgrade initiatives, including the coordination of project estimation for review with cross-organization technical and business teams.

• Proactively identify trends and anticipate problems early.

• Lead issue resolution and update Functional Specification document as required.

• Conduct research and use independent analysis and judgment to produce solution options, including pros, cons, risks, benefits, costs, and unintended consequences.

• Lead change control process, including the development of training materials, communicating changes, and delivering training to end users.

Requirements • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial business analyst role, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Proficiency in Workday Financial Management and Workday ERP

• Experience in system implementation, including system configuration and backend development

• Ability to conduct training sessions and provide end user training

• Strong understanding of accounting procedures, including financial close process, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), general ledger, and fixed asset ledger

• Knowledge of accounting cycle, capital assets, and fixed asset ledger

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
