Description

Job Summary

The AC Electrical Project Manager is a key role that is responsible for the supervision of onsite electricians and the installation and removal services in a specific geographic region, including but not limited to site safety, addition and removal of common systems equipment, and other duties as required to properly maintain and operate the site within the specified requirements. The qualified candidate could reside in Ohio or our upstate New York Market.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain Electrical license in multiple municipalities in state of Ohio and/or New York.

  • Pull electrical permits as needed.

  • Assist in managing IBEW relationships.

  • Manage multi-faceted projects in the commercial electrical and telecommunications field.

  • Manage field personnel associated with various projects, delivering a quality experience for end customers.

  • Produce and manage all project documentation (project meetings, contracts, change orders, etc.).

  • Assist in all aspects of project management including quoting, budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor contract management, project documentation.

  • Meet project deadlines.

  • Drive to deliver quality services on time and within budget.

  • Manage costs for clients and subcontractors change orders.

  • Monitor, manage and develop good working relationships with subcontractors.

  • Manage union labor relations as needed.

  • Assist in client negotiation and follow-up.

  • Work reliably under minimum supervision.

  • Ability to adapt to new client standards and practices.

  • General working knowledge of the electrical and telecommunications standards including but not limited to the NEC Code Book, GR1275, TP76300 and NSTD.

  • Work with all ANS software tools including but not limited to: Sage-Intacct, MS Office, Outlook and MS Project (or similar scheduling software).

  • Assist in facilitating estimation of projects – work with ANS Engineering team.

Position Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Able to work independently.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Current Master Electrician.

  • 5+ years of experience as an electrician; extensive experience in both commercial and residential work a plus.

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

The employee must be able and willing to travel locally to reach customer and network locations or local events and regularly work in outdoor weather conditions. Compliance with all Company safety procedures is a requirement.

  • The employee is regularly required to communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and straight forward manner.

The employee will frequently service equipment and position self to access network equipment in small remote cabinets, vaults, and buildings with limited space to work. Additionally, work may be performed near power lines, electricity, gas lines, and other utility lines.

  • The employee must regularly carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing 20 to 50 pounds (and frequently 50 to 100 pounds).

  • The employee must be physically able to safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision (specifically the ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires), peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

  • The employee must occasionally be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and operate computer and other office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt/Exempt (TBD) position. Days and hours of work are Generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. An appropriate level of communication about expected hours of work between the remote employee and supervisor will be agreed to as part of the discussion process and will be more formal during the trial period. With on call duties as assigned relating to ANS Advanced Network Services user issues after hours’, weekends, and holidays.
