Description We are seeking a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will perform a range of general ledger accounting tasks, assist with grants, and report to the department lead. You will be expected to make journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist in month-end closing activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the telecom industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record journal entries in the general ledger

• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports

• Collaborate with team members to assist with the month-end close process

• Perform general accounting functions, including operation of the general ledger system, journal entries, and account reconciliations

• Assist with grants, including tracking and reporting

• Use your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, and Month End Close to perform duties efficiently

• Utilize your general accounting skills to enhance the efficiency of our financial operations. Requirements • Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger operations

• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries

• Skilled in performing Month End Close duties

• General Accounting skills are essential

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
