Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in MEMPHIS, Tennessee. In this role, you will be expected to perform a range of accounting duties, including managing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications to ensure efficiency

• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate

• Perform regular account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

• Manage the general ledger and perform journal entries

• Handle both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks

• Assist with month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various tasks

• Continually develop and improve upon advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Visit and perform accounting duties at two facilities as needed

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting and have at least 5 years of relevant experience. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred but not mandatory.
