Job Description: The Release Manager will serve as the gatekeeper for our release management process, carefully observing, tracking, and overseeing the lifecycle of application releases. This role involves coordinating releases for multiple applications, ensuring that all specific applications processes are executed as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and track metrics toward scheduled release windows and cycles across a portfolio of applications.

  • Monitor dependencies, risks and issues that may affect release scope, schedule, and quality, and ensure they are addressed promptly.

  • Coordinate release content for updates to internally and externally hosted applications, infrastructure and third-party solutions.

  • Conduct thorough release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews.

  • Communicate detailed information on dependencies and enterprise coordination of resources, environments, infrastructure, and schedules to all stakeholders.

  • Monitor all release activities with precision and attention to detail.

  • Work closely with development teams to understand the impact to enterprise shared resources, ensuring seamless integration.

  • Maintain and monitor the release schedule for all services, ensuring alignment with key partners and vendors.

  • Participate in the Go-Live activities, meticulously following deployment plans and checklists.

  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation used to build release management diagrams and communications.

  • Participate in CAB meetings to discuss release scope and address any roadblocks.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to release procedures, notifications, and dependencies.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in release management, project management, or software development having participated in releases.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), project management methodologies and Agile approaches.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in using release management and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git, Bitbucket).

  • Experience with observing releases to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) is a plus.

  • Experience observing releases with SaaS vendor implementations
