Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic. This role is integral to our production line, maintaining quality control, line maintenance, and repairing machinery and equipment. You will apply your mechanical expertise to determine work methods and procedures for producing quality products. Your role will include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical malfunctions on high-speed production machinery. This job requires 95% mechanical and 5% electrical skills. As part of the production team, you will also contribute to hitting production numbers by ensuring the line stays running at all times or is repaired quickly. Training and coaching of other employees, including operators, mechanics, and temporary employees will also be part of your responsibilities.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in MEMPHIS, Tennessee.

Work Environment

We operate on a shift basis, with one position available for the 1st shift (6:00am - 6:30pm) and two positions for the 3rd shift (6:00pm - 6:30am). Please note that initial training for approximately 2 weeks will be conducted on the day shift (6:00am - 2:00pm). Our facility is a high-speed production environment that produces 300 - 350 metal cans per minute. It is a clean, well-lit facility which is not climate-controlled. The environment is loud and hearing protection is supplied. Dress code includes steel toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection, jeans or work pants and t-shirt are preferred. No profane language or vulgar pictures are allowed on clothing items.
