This healthcare research leader is looking for a data architect /manager experienced in leading a high-level team through data element identification, data repository design, federation of repositories / databases, source to target mapping and user control / data security: design, testing and production support, all in a healthcare molecular genetics environment. This is not a "database engineer" position -- we are looking for someone to do high-level concept design and co-development work. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional who thrives on conceptualizing and co-developing sophisticated data solutions.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing user stories, mapping all metadata and data elements, generating high level solution designs, source systems, source to target mappings, and then developing code for ingesting the data into an informatic platform. Once Ingested, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data per the requirements. The role will interact with all of informatics team, global research team, sites in multiple countries, pathology department, and other molecular genetics sequencing experts.

From there, you will then develop QA test scenarios and perform QA testing, including but not limited to functional, End to End, and data validation testing.

You will oversee the production deployments and support the Informatics team during the deployment, data loads, troubleshooting, as well as regular production break fixes activates, as needed. As part of this DevOps role, you will participate in daily standups, will share regular project status with the DevOps Track lead and Scrum Master, as well as management and stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

* Relevant background and knowledge working with clinical patient genomics data

* Thorough knowledge of GPDR & HIPPA compliance

* Genomics pipelines / workflows

* Informatica

* FASTQ

* Experience running complex queries, and complex sequences

* Understanding of function genomics classifiers and containerization

* NextFlow/Batch

* Working with DNA data

* Data/MetaData Experience -- how will they use it, what is the end goal?

* Experience working with Scientists/R&D team

* Experience working with de-Identified patient data / process of deidentification

* Experience in at least one mainstream SQL RDMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL)

* Experience in composing and analyzing complex queries

* Experience in designing and implementing an entity relational model from scratch

* Conceptual understanding of ETL

* Experience in working with a top cloud system (one of AWS, Azure, or GCP)

* Basic understanding of bioinformatics

* Familiar with Python

* Familiar with Git

* Comfortable working with standard Linux environment

* Great communication skills

* Creating large Dashboards/repositories

* Must be strong hands-on developer

* Strong knowledge on SQL, PL/SQL

* Experience in Cloud-based databases

* Should have GitLab exposure.

* Good to have knowledge of traditional ETL on Unix and Oracle.

* Good to have experience on working on migration projects.

* Good communication skills and strong experience working in Agile methodology

* PhD in Biology field preferred null
