We are looking for a dedicated Desktop Support Specialist to join our client's IT team for the third shift in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment!

Responsibilities:

• Desktop Support: Provide comprehensive technical support for desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

• RF Scanner Support: Manage and support RF (Radio Frequency) scanners, ensuring they are correctly configured, maintained, and fully operational for warehouse operations.

• SCCM Administration: Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to deploy software, manage updates, and maintain system compliance across the network.

• Warehouse Technology Support: Support and troubleshoot technology systems specific to warehouse operations, including inventory management systems, label printers, and barcode scanners.

• Incident Management: Respond to and resolve help desk tickets and service requests during the third shift, ensuring minimal disruption to warehouse and distribution activities.

• Network Connectivity: Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring uninterrupted access to essential systems and resources.

• User Account Management: Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls within the warehouse and distribution environment.

• System Updates and Maintenance: Perform routine system updates, maintenance, and backups to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.

• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of support activities, configurations, and procedures, ensuring accurate records for shift transitions.

• Training and Support: Provide on-the-spot training and support to end-users, helping them efficiently use the technology in their daily tasks.

  Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, preferred.

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in desktop support, with specific experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, preferred.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows operating systems, SCCM, RF scanners, and basic networking concepts.

• Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or other relevant certifications are a plus.

• Shift Work: Willingness and ability to work the third shift, with flexibility for occasional overtime or weekend work.

• Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with warehouse staff and management.

• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, particularly under time-sensitive conditions.
