Valero Chief Refinery Inspector in MEMPHIS, Tennessee
Description:
Valero is looking for a Chief Refinery Inspector that supervises and provides leadership and direction to the Inspection Department. Provides supervision and coordination of contract inspection personnel during shutdown and extended duration inspection projects. Provides expertise, direction, supervision, and coordination in inspection, testing, design, alteration and repair of fixed equipment. Develops and implements programs to ensure the reliability and safety of fixed equipment. Provides root cause failure analysis of components including corrosion research, reporting and supervision of metallurgical analysis. Publishes written reports on inspection findings and failure analysis. Reviews and edits inspection recommendations and reports for code and engineering compliance. Provides expertise regarding design, fabrication, repair, alteration, inspection and testing of equipment. Provides fixed equipment design and repair expertise through research and repair recommendations consistent with applicable industry codes, standards, and specifications. Provides inspection guidance in turnaround planning. Reviews and edits inspection recommendations and reports for code and engineering compliance. Supports and backfills the Mechanical Reliability Manager as needed.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
Qualifications:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* 10 years of experience with fixed equipment reliability and/or engineering experience required.
* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* API 510, API 570, API 653, API 571, API 577, API 580 preferred.
* A part of the National Board Inspector Commission preferred.
* Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Memphis Refinery, required.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
