Robert Half Administrative Coordinator in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator in Memphis, Tennessee. This role revolves around managing administrative tasks within our industry, with a heavy emphasis on processing various materials, managing communications, and coordinating events. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the recruitment process and support student-led organizations affiliated with the department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of departmental materials which includes but is not limited to correspondence, scholarly articles, bibliographies, and class materials.

• Handle both incoming and outgoing communications across various platforms.

• Operate and maintain office equipment while also managing inventory of office supplies.

• Develop and manage an efficient filing and record-keeping system.

• Keep track of events and important dates for department members on the department's calendar.

• Assist in coordinating lectures, events, receptions, and social events for the department.

• Play an active role in the recruitment and hiring process within the department.

• Train, schedule, and supervise student workers assigned to the department.

• Provide support to student-led organizations affiliated with the department.

• Assist and support the Chair of the Department and the Post-Graduate Fellowships Co-Directors.

• Carry out other duties as assigned. Requirements • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent educational certification

• Proven experience in an administrative role would be beneficial

• Strong proficiency in customer service is essential

• Must be skilled in computer data entry

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
