What You'll Do

The starting wage for this role is $22.63 per hour. This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime. In addition to your pay, Kerry offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and retirement contribution (all benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements).

2nd Shift 2pm to 10:20 pm

Directs, administers, and controls hourly operations and activities of facilities and programs in an assigned area.

Ensures compliance with established company and regulatory guidelines and procedures to provide high quality service and outstanding customer care.

Participates in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.

Directs and oversees the business of the assigned facilities within a defined area through effective leadership and management of customer service, quality, and responsible fiscal management.

Implements, disseminates, and administers operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of the assigned cell and companys goals and objectives.

Formulates location-specific and area quality goals and action plans to achieve quality standards.

Provides leadership, support, and guidance to group leads, facility employees, as well as informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback to the supervisor on the annual performance of assigned area employees. Intrumental in the process to identify and develop talent.

Contributes to a strong and robust communications process between all group leaders and staff within the area and across the plant as needed.

Ensures efficient and economical performance in accordance with operating budgets and takes the appropriate actions to ensure the attainment of profit and year-end goals and objectives.

Ensures all employees receive the appropriate training and education according to policies and procedures including ongoing compliance training.

Group Leader additional responsibilities:

Dealing with complexity, analyzing information, and implementing company vision

Assists with writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for production lines or policies and procedures.

Train new hires and re-certification in assigned areas.

Computes amount of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area.

Writes work orders as necessary.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists employees in solving work problems.

Create/Submit Work requests for equipment or facilities using SAP for maintenance.

Participate in daily pre-shift huddles.

Perform hand-off with outgoing and incoming shifts.

Update Tier boards.

Champion operational break relief

Troubleshoot, solve, and/or escalate issues that may arise during the shift in a timely manner.

Promote a positive working environment while driving a Continuous Improvement culture.

Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties which may include: sweeping, clean-up, removing garbage, taking samples, etc.

Verify Item/Material against COOISPI SAP Data

Responsible for line setup, changeovers, proper shut downs, and site startups.

Communicate all Food Safety, Quality, and/or Workplace Safety issues/concerns to management.

Ability to read, write and speak English..

Follow all Kerry safety, environmental and regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.

May perform any other duties assigned by leadership.

II.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to satisfaction. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

a)EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED required. 1 to 3 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred, or any manufacturing industry required.

b)LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to communicate in English to understanding the job terminology.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and manufacturing orders. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

c)MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations manually or with a calculator.

d)REASONING ABILITY

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems outside of standardized situations.

e)PHYSICAL DEMANDS
