Cybersecurity Analyst

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree, plus a minimum of 3 years direct industry experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of system vulnerabilities, exploitation, and mitigation strategies.
  • Technical network and/or security certifications (CISA, CISM, CCSP, CISSP, etc.) are highly desirable.
  • Must have written and oral communication skills, work independently, and work in a team environment.
  • Interpersonal skills, collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.

The Role:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Reporting to the IT Director, the Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable policies/regulations and best practices for the company's enterprise systems.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Will have experience implementing cybersecurity systems to meet regulatory requirements in a Microsoft based environment.
  • Will act as a subject-matter expert in cybersecurity by assisting leadership in defining, administering, and maintaining policies, processes, and systems for compliance management.
  • Will assist with the management of data classification and protection.
  • Will have experience implementing controls for NIST 800-171, CMMC, or similar frameworks.
  • Prepared to make mistakes but learn from them, be open to feedback and to be coached.

Key Accountabilities

  • Will work closely with third party vendors supporting implementation and maintenance of deployed cybersecurity systems.
  • Will integrate security products into the current environment to defend the enterprise from internal/external attacks.
  • Be the principal resource during cybersecurity audits.
  • Analyze alerts and remediate threats to the environment as necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support related initiatives.
