We have an opportunity perfect for a motivated HSE professional looking to further their career in a diverse and exciting business. You will be able to develop and enhance your influencing and HSE leadership skills, taking ownership for achieving HSE strategic outcomes across a National portfolio through a small team of HSE Advisors.

The role will work closely with our key client and all CBRE lines of business, ensuring the implementation of robust HSE management systems and all-encompassing processes and procedures which assist to support and deliver a safe and effective work environment.

The opportunity:

  • Provide HSE Support to the Property Management business, specifically our Strategic Client Account.

  • Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expert advice, education and support.

  • Support and deliver the implementation of initiatives and projects to manage health and safety risks.

  • Cooperate with the procurement team in reviewing HSE impacts of maintenance and service agreements, and provide advice as required to ensure compliance with applicable Legislation, codes of practice and Australian Standards.

  • Influence key business stakeholders to drive positive HSE outcomes and behaviours

  • Coordinate incident reporting, investigation, regulatory reporting and RTW to ensure compliance.

  • Conduct and assist in audit preparation in the lead up to internal and third party audits (i.e. insurers, WHS consultants, regulators, HSE management systems etc.).

  • Develop HSE training specific to strategic account, including induction and risk specific training.

  • Lead a mentor a small HSE team to achieve strategic outcomes for the account.

  • Assist the business to facilitate HSE consultative forums and integrate HSE processes into new business ventures.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum 5 years of experience in a HSE/ risk and compliance related role - ideally within a larger corporate environment.

  • Preferred experience in the property industry, but not essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to liaise with a diverse array of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Pragmatic time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows with changing priorities, whilst still meeting deadlines.

  • A strong ability to interpret data and key performance metrics.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Sound negotiation and presentation skills with ability to keep a customer service focus.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and influence at all business levels.

  • Willingness to travel interstate on a relatively consistent basis, or as the role requires.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office and experience in a documented management system using a Sharepoint environment.

  • Qualified AS/NZS 4801 and/or Safety Map Auditor, RTW Coordinator, iCAM or Tap Root investigation certification.
