About the Role

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. To bring this experience to life, we are looking for an innovative and passionate Groups & Events Sales Manager. This role will be responsible for managing the key hotel groups and events business and driving the relationships with our clients to ensure loyalty and repeat business.

A taste of your day-to-day

  • Manage and generate revenue by managing sales activities for the following markets – Corporate meetings, Conference & Events and Leisure Groups

  • Take responsibility for the co-ordination and monitoring of all meetings and convention business, special events and leisure groups

  • Coordinate the allocation of space for the conference and associated events

  • Manage the rooming list process for all group segments

  • Conduct room familiarizations and site inspections

  • Convert qualified leads into confirmed business

  • Acquisition of new business accounts and account management of existing accounts

  • Coordinating with the operations team to ensure seamless event delivery

  • Providing outstanding customer service to event organisers and delegates

  • Analysing sales data and performance to identify opportunities for growth

  • Contributing to the development of our sales and marketing strategies

  • Lead the planning and reactive sales team to coordinate and finalise all requirements for Groups & Events business prior to event

What we need from you

  • Diploma in hotel management, sales/marketing or related field 

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar sales or events management role within the hospitality industry

  • A proactive approach with strong drive for team results and track record of achievement

  • Adaptable and a quick thinker with problem solving skills who proactively looks to assist where possible

  • Organised and with high attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously

  • Proven experience in managing a small, dedicated team
