Job Description Summary

GE Vernova Gas Power are currently looking for a Gas Turbines Contract Manager. This is a business-critical position within the Gas Power Asia Services team as you will engage with some of GE Vernova Gas Power’s portfolio of key customers. This customer facing role’s primary purpose is to ensure our customers’ assets are maintained and customer relationships are enhanced. This role will give you the opportunity to use your customer relationship skills.

Reporting to the Service Director you will be responsible for Multi Year Agreements and Transactional (CSA/TX) – hybrid- contract performance. This includes (but not limited to) managing customer relationship, communication, scoping, planning, solving issues and executing contracts to ensure KPIs metrics fulfillment, customer satisfaction and contribute to the overall business strategy.

To be successful in this role, it would be advantageous to draw on any experience you may have in managing outages on Legacy Alstom equipment. In addition, this role would suit someone with previous experience in Project Management, Planning, Coordinating typically within the context of a production or services project to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial or commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • All contract performance related activities, typically tied to a customer site. Perform in the role as the interface between the customer and the project team, managing the transfer of information and requests.

  • Assure timely resolution of issues and keep the customer advised of the progress of the project and negotiate changes and variations and solutions to any issue arising.

  • Responsible for adherence to contract service, operations, and performance specifications, as well as financial & technical metrics specific to contract. Perform proposal negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with minimal supervision ·

  • Responsible for establishing, managing customer relationship and customer satisfaction for assigned contracts.

  • Manage invoices issuance, billing, payment, cash collection, account receivables and concessions administration.

  • Respond to any issue arising from contracts and/or customer and is the focal point for all issue resolution which may include negotiate changes and variations, assessing impact and generating solutions to solve the issues.

  • Manage the interaction with members of the customer service, engineering, parts & transactional services, field service, repair service and/or other teams for support to fulfill execution plan.

  • Oversee Extra Work or change order which includes scope definition, scheduling, cost estimation for assigned contracts and/or customers.

  • Responsible for Quality and EHS (safety) oversight on work performed at assigned customer sites.

  • Work with the customer’s Operation and Maintenance (O&M) to optimize asset reliability and availability.

  • Maintain all contract-related documents and timely plan/update and report on execution preparation and related activities (i.e. spare part order, man-power scheduling, inventory, tools shipment etc.)

  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma with at least 6 years of experience in the power generation industry.

  • 3-years’ experience with Heavy Duty Gas Turbines (Legacy Alstom units is highly desireable).

  • Ideally 3 years of advanced experience as customer service or contractual services agreement (CSA) management in power generation industry.

  • Ability and willingness to travel (& to work in a remote location ) – 50% of the time.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Experience in Gas Turbine operations, maintenance including overhaul.

Desired Characteristics

  • Good knowledge of business environment, good knowledge on CSA T's& C's.

  • Established project management skills.

  • Experience in Long Term Service Agreements contract interpretation and management.

  • Experience planning and executing gas turbine outages.
