Our Disputes & Economics Practice focuses on assisting clients with financial and accounting issues associated with complex litigation and International Arbitration. Dispute resolution and investigative engagements involve preparing expert reports and providing oral testimony in court and arbitrations on forensic accounting, investigations, damages and valuation matters.

Ankura’s Disputes practice provides clients with expertise in Forensic Accounting and Valuations which include:

Responsibilities:

  • Support all aspects of dispute resolution, complex global disputes, international arbitration and other forensic accounting engagements, primarily including damages assessments, valuations and financial investigations.

  • Preparing and reviewing detailed financial models in Microsoft Excel, including preparing DCF models.

  • Review documents and collate research.

  • Attend and contribute to client meetings.

  • Developing an external network of clients and business contacts.

  • Studying towards a professional qualification.

    Requirements

  • Graduate level qualification or equivalent obtained from a leading university (minimum 2.1 degree).

  • Be working towards or willing to work towards ACA, ACCA or CFA charter holder.

  • Want to pursue a career in forensic accountancy or dispute resolution.

  • Experience of valuation, auditing or other accounting services would be beneficial.

  • Intermediate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and strong research and analytical skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Initiative, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, and an ability to work well in teams.

  • Advanced technical skills such as database and statistical programming languages, including SQL, R, Python, SAS would be beneficial.

  • In addition to English, a second language would be beneficial.
