Summit County Tire Techinician in Medina, Ohio
A tire technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing tires on various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and heavy machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Inspecting and Assessing: Check tire tread levels, wear patterns, valve quality, and overall tire health.
- Repairing and Replacing: Fix punctures, replace faulty valves, and install new tires.
- Balancing and Rotating: Balance tires and perform wheel alignment procedures to ensure even tire wear.
- Specialty Work: Stud tires for snow use, retread tires for off-road vehicles, and provide roadside assistance.
- Customer Interaction: Discuss issues with customers and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
- Inventory Management: Conduct inventory checks and maintain equipment.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Skills: Good communication skills, attention to detail, and extensive knowledge of tire patterns and materials.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in crouched or standing positions for extended periods.
Experience: 1-2 years of proven work experience as a tire technician.
Full-time position M-F. Pay based on experience and training
