Acting as Communication Specialist for Mondelēz Benelux will give you the opportunity to follow your own development path supporting the Benelux business managing relationships with different levels of the organization.
Purpose of Position:
Implement the yearly internal communication plan according to the business priorities and the global/EU initiatives and support the Benelux Corporate Affairs Senior Manager in the day to day mgt of the external reputation program.
Internal Communications
This role will be responsible and accountable for the day to day delivery of the internal communications agenda for Belgium and The Netherlands, working alongside the CGA Senior Manager Benelux. They will be responsible for generating and writing content from Belgium and the Netherlands and leveraging this at a European level. The role will collaborate with local teams to identify great stories which celebrate success and help support recognition of colleagues in Benelux and Europe. The role will be responsible for organizing internal communications events such as quarterly town halls, annual plenary company meetings, monthly newsletters…, and will execute community engagement activities across both markets. The role will also support the digital channels (intranet, Vivaengage) and act as communication support for our production facilities in Belgium.
External Communications
Provide external communications support to the Benelux Corporate Affairs Senior Manager in building an external reputation program for Benelux, as well as press office activities, social media channel content, crisis communication and public affairs activities. In addition, the role will own, maintain and further develop the media monitoring and the Benelux Mynewsdesk pages, to accommodate the needs of the Benelux media environment. The role will collaborate closely with our Marketing teams and agencies for brand PR purposes.
Team Support
This role will support the North Western & wider Europe CGA team, getting involved in the joint activities and projects shared as region.
Main Responsibilities:
Internal Communications
Content / story creation for Benelux for use locally and in publication on Benelux intranet
Plasma info screens & newsletter mgt in Benelux
Manage local leadership communications in Benelux & organize + create content for local Townhalls
Coordinating MEU/Local town halls & webcasts
Support growth of community agenda by coordination of community events and community engagement activities such as volunteering initiatives and food donations.
Implement locally MEU/Global/Local Recognition Initiatives.
External Communications
Help the Benelux Corporate Affairs Senior Manager co-deliver a reputation building program (public affairs and external communications) for the Benelux business, working in partnership with the Managing Director and the leadership team where required.
Track & record media coverage using Media Inquiry Tracking and managing the Benelux media monitoring services.
Support the Benelux Corporate Affairs Senior Manager & the Benelux business with local reputation issues – providing counsel and advice.
Maintain and further develop the Benelux MyNewsDesk pages
Support in press office activities, managing local media enquiries
Collaborate closely with our Marketing teams and agencies for brand PR purposes
Administration
Contribute to monthly reports on CGA activities for MEU.
Communication administration tasks such as budget building and tracking, liaising with Procurement for vendor management and reporting of community contributions.
Support and create corporate presentation materials
More about this role
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Communication/Marketing
Native or equivalent level in Dutch and French language (written and spoken) is mandatory
At least 2 years’ experience in Communication roles for international companies and/or PR and Communication Agencies
Full professional proficiency in English
External Communication experience is highly preferred
Confident with Social Media management
Excellent content writing and oral communication skills
Photo, design, video creation or infographic design capabilities will be a plus
The desire to build a career in any or all of the CGA sub-disciplines
Ability to work and build relationships within a remote team
Achieving results, attention to details and working under pressure with a collaborative approach
The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland .
