Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

7Am to 3:30PM.

Responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping of material in and out of the Mechanicsville, VA warehouse. Responsible for maintaining stock levels in all point of use locations. Maintain accurate inventories.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Unload material to match shipper and bill of materials and give to receiving clerk.

2. Move material to correct staging and or Point of use locations.

3. Stock all lean cell FIFO racks, point of use locations, and floor stock areas.

4. Wrap and weigh all materials from lines or shipped out of plant. It is mandatory that all paper work and move tickets match the material being shipped.

5. Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

6. Empty trashes daily and pickup stockrooms each shift. Practice 5S+1 in maintaining straight neat and well identified stocking locations.

7. Monitor production workcenters for visual signals and, through self initiative and short term planning, take appropriate corrective actions to prevent stockouts at each of the point of use locations.

8. Move materials per requests to and from manufacturing cells.

9. Pull orders for sub-contractors, warehouses, and etc..

10. Pack and weigh ship direct orders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Expected to be able to lift workloads up to 25 lbs. Regular job duties will require certain levels of walking, reaching, and bending. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

2. Having forklift drivers license or capable of passing forklift drivers test.

3. Ability to plan and execute multiple short duration tasks with minimal instruction.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

• On the job training.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
