Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Entry to mid-level industrial maintenance opening with ample opportunity for growth! Candidates should have either relevant schooling or a minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance background (not operations). Familiarity with AC and DC electrical controls, as well as AC, DC motor, and drive controls, and troubleshooting experience is required. The role involves maintaining printers on industrial printing machinery, requiring both mechanical aptitude and experience in troubleshooting and repairing printing/packaging or ink jet equipment. Candidates must provide their own tools.

Hard Skills

  • Knowledge of ink jet printers, packaging, or printing machines

  • Electrical knowledge

  • Ability to read meters

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics

  • Troubleshoot mechanically

  • Operation and use of encoders

  • Understanding of photoelectric and proximity sensing devices

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Candidates will work in a manufacturing facility that prints paper, which has a lot of paper dust and petroleum-based material. They will work on the inkjet and more computer side of the machinery. They will report to the Inkjet Maintenance Supervisor. Pay starts at around $23.00/hr and increases based on experience. The position will start on the day shift for training (6 months to a year) and then transition to the night shift. The schedule is a 3/4 rotation: Every Sunday - Tuesday and every other Saturday 6pm - 6:30am. While on days, the schedule is every Monday and Tuesday, and every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (one week, 5 days on, 2 days off, then 2 days on, 5 off) - 6:00-6:30pm. The first week will most likely follow an 8-4:30 schedule. Steel-toe shoes are required.
