The Kidde business is a part of the Fire and Security Products group at Carrier. We are dedicated to providing products and technology designed to protect people and property from the effects of fire and its related hazards. As a large manufacturer of fire safety products, Kidde meets the safety needs of homes and businesses by providing fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, strobes, and other products.

About this role

The Senior Manager – SIOP & Supply Planning oversees processes, tools, strategy, and the day-to-day activities of the supply planning team to fulfill customer demand, ensuring that all supply chain operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for developing and executing supply plans with factories, suppliers, and cross-functional teams that support the company's overall business objectives. This role requires a strong analytical thinker with a robust understanding of supply chain management and excellent leadership skills.

The Senior Manager – SIOP & Supply Planning will work onsite in Mebane NC with the flexibility of not more than 20% working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain efficient supply planning strategies and processes

  • Plan and manage inventory levels to meet production schedules and customer demands while minimizing costs

  • Oversee and optimize supply chain performance through continuous improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, sales, and manufacturing departments to align supply plans with broader business goals

  • Analyze and interpret trends in supply chain data to forecast needs and address potential issues proactively

  • Provide regular visibility and escalation to internal stakeholders on Supply Health through the SIOP process

  • Lead and execute Supply Planning strategies including Safety Stock, etc.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply planning team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement

  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on supply chain status, challenges, and achievements, including ownership of the Supply Review to support SIOP process

  • Identify gaps in processes related to supply planning; conduct root cause analysis and identify and implement processes to drive gap closure

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, or supply planning

  • 2+ years of experience in leading a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or, engineering

  • APICS or other relevant certification

  • Managing complex projects in a factory environment

  • Analytical and forecasting skills

  • Supply chain management software, ERP systems, and tools

  • Problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure

  • Conduct an extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems that may arise

  • High level of urgency, and customer-oriented

  • Improve processes or systems that may improve our competitive position

  • English verbal and written communication, presentations to executives

  • Interpersonal skills, negotiating and influencing stakeholders, and working with cross-functional teams
