MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Neurosurgery - Research in MDA-On-Site, United States

The postdoctoral position will involve retrospective clinical research in the areas of spinal tumors. There will be a particular emphasis on collecting clinical, radiological, demographic, and outcome data. The candidate will be performing statistical analysis and preparing scientific publications.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The postdoc will receive training and mentoring in the composition of scientific manuscripts, will be involved with analyzing radio graphical data and outcome measures, analyzing the results of multiple different treatment strategies for spinal tumors. The impact of radiation therapy, surgical techniques, image guidance, systemic treatment options, and targeted therapies will also be analyzed and will improve the fellow knowledge on updated multi-modality treatments for spinal oncologic cases.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The applicant should have an MD degree, basic knowledge of statistical methods, and able to compose peer-reviewed publications to be published in internationally recognized journals. A strong background in spinal surgery is required.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-076.html) . This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
