Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the Government sector, located in MC MURRAY, Pennsylvania, 15317-3349, United States. This role involves duties that revolve around the billing process related to water usage, and requires interaction with homeowners, requiring both accounting and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer interactions, including receiving payments through various methods such as online, in person, or over the phone.

• Execute billing procedures for sewage services to homeowners, based on their water usage.

• Employ basic accounting principles and computerized billing techniques in daily tasks.

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient processing and tracking of billing information.

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.

• Answer inbound calls from customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns effectively.

• Maintain precise records of customer credit information.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Ability to handle Computerized Billing

• Knowledge of standard Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Skill in Answering Inbound Calls

• Prior experience in a Government setting

• Understands and complies with government financial regulations

• Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent data entry skills

• Strong mathematical acumen

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Capable of managing time efficiently and meeting deadlines

• High level of integrity and confidentiality with financial information.
