Guidehouse Senior Consultant/SME, Integrated Billing & Accounts Receivable (VA) in MCLEAN, Virginia

What You Will Do :

As a senior consultant in this role you will provide subject matter expertise for VA VistA, primarily Integrated Billing and Accounts Receivable (IBAR) support for Department of Veterans Affairs. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate with software testers and SQA testers to create test scenarios and identify or create test data for the enhancements.

  • Coordinate and install VistA patches/updates in multiple VistA applications

  • Coordinate and update user manuals and training materials

  • Provide assistance and troubleshoot issues for Medical Care Cost Recovery (MCCR) activities

  • Coach and mentor testers and developers on the team in matters related to VistA and IBAR

  • Present findings and patch kickoffs to VA clients

  • Attend agile ceremonies and client calls

  • Provide support for validation and verification of test reports

  • Serves as the functional SME of VistA and the modules that interact with the IBAR package

  • Understands the VA Revenue process and the functions of the CPAC including:

  • Third Party Billing

  • 1st Party Billing & Veteran Copayments

  • Accounts Receivable

  • Treasury Offset Program (TOP)

  • Veteran Debt Management

  • Insurance processing

  • Facility Revenue process

What You Will Need :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or US equivalent

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (strong preference for 8+ years of experience)

  • Broader knowledge of VA system interfaces and dependencies for Billing and Accounts Receivable

  • Knowledge of VA System Inventory (VASI)

  • Experience working with Jira, Fileman, VistA, IBAR, Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Deep functional knowledge of VistA

  • Experience in developing and updating user manuals

  • Demonstrated understanding and advance knowledge of revenue operations

What Would Be Nice To Have :

  • Knowledge of developing testing scenarios and identifying test data

  • Knowledge of MCCR National Database

  • Ability to coordinate IOC concurrences and preparation of documentation

  • Provide knowledge management support as needed Experience with patching and installing VistA updates in multiple VistA applications

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
