Amentum Painter in McLean, Virginia

Amentum is seeking a Painter to join our team in McLean, VA!

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government Security clearance . At program discretion, candidates will be upgraded from SECRET to Top Secret."

Work Shift: Day Shift Position, Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, finish and paint walls, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment as assigned.

  • Prepare, finish and paint walls and ceiling, woodwork, and fixtures to include prep work and caulking.

  • Repair plaster and sheetrock walls to include tape, block, skim, and sand.

  • Determine the type of paint required for application to different surfaces.

  • Paint mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Mix paint ingredients to obtain proper color and consistency.

  • Performs other job-related tasks.

  • Perform minor plaster work to include scratch coat and finish coat.

  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.

  • A willingness to work shift if necessary, including days, evenings, and nights as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school, technical school, apprenticeship, trade school graduate or equivalent required.

  • Four years of experience relating to painting, spray painting, plastering, and spackling.

  • Ability to write correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government Security clearance . At program discretion, candidates will be upgraded from SECRET to Top Secret."

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Government Clearance TS/SCI w/Poly preferred.
