SRS Distribution Inc. Regional Senior Inventory Manager - Southeast in Jacksonville, Florida

Role Overview:

Responsible for leading a team who collaborates with our field leadership and supplier relations teams to manage the replenishment/purchasing of inventory in a specific geographic area or a specific product line. The Senior Manager of Inventory role is critical in support of all inventory objectives for an entire region through active participation with the regional Senior Vice President. The role will help guide the strategic direction of inventory management practices that enable the region to deliver its revenue and EBITDA objectives. The right candidate will have strong collaboration skills, be able to quickly assimilate a variety of data points and deliver actionable recommendations.

This position can be based remote in the Southeast region preferably in the states of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory control procedures to help achieve expected inventory levels and turns. Partner with leadership to develop inventory goals, identify issues, and offer solutions.

  • Inventory Replenishment: Responsible for guiding teams in setting suggested purchase order parameters and their periodic review and update, transfer product amongst selling locations, review stock outs, review low inventory items, optimize vendor’s buy programs, reduce slow moving and obsolete inventory.

  • Analytics: Leverage tools available to guide and assist field leadership on opportunities to improve inventory efficiency, including, slow moving, obsolete, days on hand, etc.

  • Advance Replenishment: Support teams in managing projects and initiatives that advance replenishment objectives. Examples include data teams, ERP enhancements, and reporting tools.

  • Supply Chain: Actively participate in short-term and long-term initiatives and projects that contribute to supply chain objectives.

  • Team: Build a high performing team through recruitment, modifying talent routines, and implementing productivity standards. Focus on aligning assignments with developmental strengths and opportunities, coaching, mentoring and intentional succession planning.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as inventory manager or equivalent

  • Proven leadership experience with both direct and indirect teams

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Power BI or equivalent

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with other teams

  • Experience in Agility Software a plus

  • Detailed oriented

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: 4-year college degree preferred.

    REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President, Supply Chain

    INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS: Field Leadership, Supplier Relations, FP&A

    EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS : Inventory Vendors

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 2-3 days 2 weeks a month (20-30%)

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Home office capable or office in branch location in region
