Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Inspector (2nd Shift) position at our McKinney, TX location. The effective candidate will work from planning sheets, blueprints, quality control specifications, oral and written instructions, and contractual requirements.

This role will provide a shift differential of 8% for 2nd shift hours worked. (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM)

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Inspect for final acceptance, all types and series of electronic hardware to determine that rework, modification, and repairs conform to contractual/drawing requirements.

  • Inspect and accept electronic hardware referencing quality control standards, workmanship, and drawing specifications; by checking such items as parts, wires, solder joints, and terminals, using appropriate inspection devices.

  • Inspect and reject for tests or rework or otherwise approves hardware as acceptable.

  • Prepare reports and maintain records as required.

  • Meet necessary certifications as required.

  • Perform incidental related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications you must have:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum (6) years of experience as a quality inspector or comparable experience or Associates Degree and 4 years of relevant experience

  • Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, microscope, and rulers

  • Experience with drawing and blueprint reading

  • Previous experience with Solder Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) Joint Standard 001E, Military Specifications (MIL Specs), and Process Specifications

  • Experience with FAI, First Article Inspection, AS9102

  • Experience with hardware returned from the field (Mission Support).

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Ability to conduct Audits per a defined Quality Management System

  • Ability to understand and communicate with engineering teams, facilitators, and managers

  • Ability to inspect and use a Manufacturing reporting System to document observations and defects

  • Ability to recognize and enforce compliance to Raytheon Technologies’ policies and procedures

  • Ability to perform quality inspections with minimal mentor oversight

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Team player

  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work with a high degree of confidence and efficiency

  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, supervisors, and peers to resolve issues

  • Display a strong personal commitment to successfully complete all projects

  • Demonstrates a high level of initiative (self-starter).

The salary range for this role is 50,000 USD - 100,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
