In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work together with our customers. Our Test Environments Team is seeking an on-site, experienced maintenance and repair technician to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of test equipment, to include thermal chambers, Electro dynamic shakers, chillers and refrigeration systems. This position will perform under minimal supervision, apply semi-advanced skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc. Candidate will Rely on moderate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals and solve moderately complex problems.

What you will do:

• Maintain and repair wide range of test equipment to include electro dynamic shakers, temperature/altitude humidity chambers, chillers and other engineering assets

• Work with other members of the maintenance team to perform preventative maintenance and calibrations

• Follow written procedures and adhere to safety rules and practices

• Charge refrigeration systems, braze copper refrigeration lines, utilize torch in repairs, perform tests, diagnose, trouble shoot and repair a wide variety of Temperature chambers and chillers (single stage, cascade, multiple stage), utilizing blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, technical manuals, and other specifications.

• Work independently under minimal supervision and guidance to perform tasks of substantial complexity.

Qualifications you must have:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

• Experience with schematics, blueprints, and/or piping diagrams.

• Experience with HVAC Maintenance and/or repair

• Experience with industrial electronics and/or AC/DC theory.

• T he ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications we prefer:

• Refrigeration license and certified EPA in refrigeration, electrical troubleshooting and wiring techniques, electrical license

• Maintenance experience with thermal chambers, and vibration shakers. (Electrodynamic, Slip Table Shakers)

• Team player with the ability to also work independently at times.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience fabricating, assembly, test and repair of cascade and multiple stage refrigeration systems for environmental test equipment according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and testing procedures

The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 102,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
