Seeking a positive, energetic, experienced, dedicated and reliable Food Production Worker to join our food processing team. The Food Production Worker will be responsible for operating machinery to prepare and packaging food items, inspect and sort ingredients, monitor production processes to ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are met, and performing other food production tasks as needed. Our ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
The Food Production Worker will work with others in the food production facility and with the Supervisor of Food Production and QA. The ideal candidate will exercise good judgment and initiative in supporting the business. The work is generally of a confidential nature. This position must cooperatively and seamlessly work with others.
Functions:
Responsible to help
prepare food products for packaging, processing, and distribution.
Operate food processing and packaging equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
Food Production Worker will be involved in a range of tasks from ingredient handling / measuring, cooking, working with slab forming and enrobing equipment, packaging food products for sale.
Inspect food products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
Package, box, weigh and label prepared items.
Ensure cleanliness of the production area and adhere to food safety standards.
- Perform sanitation duties to ensure workspace cleanliness and compliance with these food safety standards.
Maintain records of completed orders.
Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Reporting to the Supervisor of Food Production and QA.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the team with daily activities as needed.
Ensure consistency of existing systems through creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for daily activities.
Learn training programs to develop and refine skills.
Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's products and how they relate to customers needs.
Learn and support internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
Anticipate a variety of needs and problems and proactively suggest approaches and solutions. Stay abreast of developing needs and requirements for the team and act resourceful
