SRS Distribution Inc. Cloud Security Engineer in McKinney, Texas

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our applications, systems, and data. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks, conducting thorough security assessments, and providing expert guidance to our infrastructure, development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities:

Security Architecture Design:

  • Develop and implement security architectures for Azure cloud environments, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection strategies.

Security Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, CIS) and Azure-specific security best practices.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address security vulnerabilities and gaps.

Identity and Access Management:

  • Design and implement IAM solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged identity management (PIM) to enforce least privilege access principles.

Data Protection:

  • Implement encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit using Azure Key Vault, Azure Disk Encryption, and Azure Information Protection.

  • Design and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.

    Network Security:

  • Configure and manage Azure network security features such as Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure DDoS Protection to safeguard against network-based threats and attacks.

Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

  • Deploy and configure Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Sentinel to monitor for security incidents, analyze security logs, and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.

Security Automation:

  • Develop scripts and automation workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate security configurations, deployments, and incident response processes.

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Document security designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with documentation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage.

  • Proficiency in security technologies and concepts such as encryption, IAM, network security, and security monitoring.

  • Experience with security compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, SOC 2).

  • Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
