Salary Range : $81k - $90k + Benefits (based on experience)

Hours: Monday through Friday (on-site requirement)

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager in the Federal sector to oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning and design through execution and completion. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

    Essential Responsibilities

    Project Management

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets

  • Oversee all construction processes, including coordination of subcontractors

  • Manage project budgets and track expenditures

  • Generate and review subcontracts and purchase orders

  • Conduct regular project meetings and distribute detailed minutes

  • Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders

  • Ensure timely completion through effective scheduling and delivery expedition

    Technical Oversight

  • Review and interpret construction plans and submittals

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors

  • Implement appropriate construction methods based on cost/benefit analysis

  • Maintain quality control standards

  • Manage warranty items and create/verify punch lists

  • Execute strategic route planning and selection

  • Oversee material, labor, and equipment logistics

    Compliance & Safety

  • Obtain necessary permits and meet regulatory requirements

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards through regular site inspections

  • Maintain complete and current project documentation

  • Implement safety precautions throughout project lifecycle

  • Monitor adherence to project specifications, plans, and codes

    Leadership & Communication

  • Supervise and mentor project team members

  • Resolve conflicts while maintaining project schedule

  • Maintain professional correspondence with all stakeholders

  • Build relationships with permitting authorities and general public

  • Negotiate with subcontractors and vendors

  • Represent the company at industry events

    Required Qualifications

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience

  • Proven track record managing complex construction projects

  • Supervisory/Leadership experience (5+ years)

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record, ability to clear background checks

    Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, MS Project)

  • Knowledge of construction management regulations and standards

  • May require travel up to 20% of time

  • Flexible schedule including potential evenings, holidays, and weekends

  • Must be able to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
